Paddle 4 the Cure Fundraising Announcement

On this #worldcancerday2018 we wanted to share our 2017 fundraising accomplishments for Blu Wave Paddle 4 the Cure, and our cause marketing campaign with the Canadian Cancer Society. At the Toronto Boat Show, we presented a cheque for $15,000 to CCS bringing our total raised in the fight to end breast cancer to over $50,000. Thank you to all of you that were a part of this effort by either attending P4TC, sponsoring a participant, or purchasing one of our Give Pink special edition Woody 10.6s ($100 per board/paddle combo are donated to CCS). We couldn't have done it without you. On this day let's take a moment to remember those we have lost to this horrible disease and give those fighting cancer our love and support. This week the Canadian SUP community lost one of its leaders to cancer. Bob Purdy of Paddle For The Planet and The Paddler Movie was an activist for the environment and advocate for changing the way we live on the planet. Although on the opposite side of the country in BC, Bob's efforts and activism were noticed here in Ontario where we are based. Each year we donate a percentage of our fundraising directly to a local family effected by Breast Cancer. This year we are making an exception and donating $250 to Bob Would Go in our support of everything that Bob stood for and in support of his family dealing with their loss. RIP Bob
